A six foot ladder in in our bathroom surprised me, but also gave me an unexpected message. In case you are wondering why there was a ladder in the bathroom, it was left by the electrician who had come to fix the ceiling fan.
As you know, in bathrooms our daily routine includes cleansing, getting refreshed and relief. We also know that ladders help us go higher to areas unreachable on our own.
Jesus says ‘Come to me all you that labour and are burdened and I will refresh you’. Matthew 11:28 (DRA) Daily we can go to Him and be forgiven and cleansed of the negative stuff that accumulates in our hearts, 1 John 1:9 and but then, we often turn and walk away relieved and refreshed and ignore the ladder in the middle of the room inviting us to go higher. We can choose to climb the ladder and ascend closer, into His wonderful presence, and spend more time with Him, listen as He tells us how much He loves us and that we are chosen princes and princesses of His kingdom.
Try it. Add the climb up the ladder to your daily devotional routine, and ascend to the One who loves you more than you can ever imagine.
